Burnished Concrete Indoor Flooring, Horsley Park

The job

A new house build in Horsley Park, NSW, needed the ground floor internal concrete done as burnished flooring. The client wanted a premium interior flooring that is sleek, durable and low maintenance — something that looked high-end but wouldn’t need the upkeep of timber or tiles.

What we did

We prepped the ground floor, formed up, and poured the concrete inside the house, then finished it with a burnished finish — mechanically trowelled to a smooth, dense, polished-look surface straight off the pour.

Formwork accuracy mattered most on this job. Unlike tiles or carpet, a burnished finish can’t hide an uneven subfloor — it relies entirely on the pour itself being flat and level. High-tolerance formwork gave us straight, level edges and exact floor heights against every door jamb and wall.

The result

The finished floor runs right through the open-plan living space, past the staircase and out to the glass doors. The customer was extremely happy with the product, telling us their house turned from ordinary to extraordinary.
