Geostone Honed Pool Surround, Bargo

The brief

The client in Bargo, NSW wanted their pool surround to follow the actual shape of their pool, rather than the regular square or rectangular surrounds most pools get. The pool itself is a curvy, freeform shape, so the brief was to match the concrete surround to those curves.

What we did

We formed up the pool edge and the pool surround to follow the curve of the pool, then poured the concrete over 2 days. The finish is Geostone ‘Whitsunday’, honed. We’re an approved Geostone installer, so it was laid and finished to the manufacturer’s standard.

The result

The finished pool surround at Bargo flows with the pool instead of cutting across it in straight lines, giving the whole backyard a different look to the standard square or rectangular pool surrounds.
