The brief

Max Ruddock Reserve in Winston Hills had a temporary ramp and an existing footpath that needed replacing, as a civil job for Parramatta City Council. The job covered 50 lineal metres in total.

What we did

The job took three days. Day one was excavation — we ripped out the temporary ramp and the old footpath, then battered the ground to get a smooth, even transition down to footpath level. Day two was formwork and steel. Day three was the pour and finish, in plain concrete with a broomed finish. We also reinstated the pram ramp so the path is easily accessible for wheelchairs.

The result

A new reinforced concrete footpath and pram ramp at the reserve, built to meet Parramatta City Council’s standards and safe and accessible for everyone using the oval.

This is a civil concreting job, completed to council specification. You can see another council job at Meadowbank.
