Exposed Aggregate Driveway, Backyard & Front Yard Makeover, Holsworthy

The brief

The owners in Holsworthy weren’t happy with how the front of their house looked. The old driveway and front yard were tired and dated, and they wanted a complete, modern look out front — not just a new driveway, but the whole street-facing presentation of the house done properly.

What we did

We excavated the old brick paver driveway and poured a new driveway in exposed aggregate concrete using the ‘Emperor’ mix, then redid the council crossover to match so the whole run from the street to the garage reads as one clean surface.

In the front yard we dug out the old garden, laid new turf, placed pavers and pebbles, and installed a new mailbox to finish it off. Around the back, we removed the old pavers and poured the backyard in the same ‘Emperor’ exposed aggregate mix as the driveway, so the finish is consistent across the whole property.

The result

A modern, cohesive look from the street right through to the backyard — the exposed aggregate driveway, crossover and backyard all match, and the new turf, pavers, pebbles and mailbox gave the front yard the fresh presentation the owners were after.

This is a concrete and landscape package job, built around an exposed aggregate driveway. You can see another exposed aggregate driveway at Kellyville.
